Norwegian jazz musician Arild Andersen honoured
Norwegian bass player Arild Andersen has been named "Musicien Europeen 2008" (European Jazzmusician of the Year 2008) by the Academie du Jazz in France for his latest release.
His cd " Live at Belleville" with Tommy Smith and Paolo Vinaccia has received raving reviews around the world.
Other prize winners were Norma Winstone (best vocal) and David Sandborne (best soul album).
